COMMUNITY STATE BANK PRESENTS CHECK TO CHILDREN’S CANCER CONNECTION AT ISU MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME


ANKENY— Community State Bank is proud to partner with Iowa State athletics to benefit Children’s Cancer Connection. During half time of the ISU/Oklahoma men’s basketball game on February, 1, 2014, Ron Nagel, President of Community State Bank and Kathy Williams, Sr. Vice President of Retail presented a check, in the amount of $5,820 to Emily Fish, Director of Donor Relations for Children’s Cancer Connection.


As part of it’s partnership with Cyclone Sports Properties, CSB promoted a texting campaign held during the 2013 ISU football season. Fans were encouraged to text a donation to Children’s Cancer Connection to help fund programs and services.


“Collegiate athletics are part of our state’s tradition. Coach Rhoads and the Iowa State University Football team have generated a great deal of excitement over the past few years. We wanted tap into that excitement to raise funds for an invaluable local organization that helps families who have children battling cancer.” said Ron Nagel, CSB President and CEO.


Children’s Cancer Connection is a nonprofit based in Des Moines, Iowa helping all pediatric patients and their families who may be diagnosed, treated, or live in Iowa. We support the entire family, the entire journey through programs and services which are provided at little cost or free for families. We offer support groups for parents, siblings, teens and young adults, oncology and sibling summer camps, survivorship services, scholarships and various resource and education materials.
