There has been a great deal of press regarding the "Heartbleed" vulnerability issue that could potentially affect computer systems. As always, the security of your financial information is of utmost importance to us. We are working with our vendors and third party service providers to ensure they are taking appropriate actions to protect customer data. We will continue to monitor and assess the status of vendor and provider systems. Our online and mobile banking provider has confirmed that it is in no way affected by this vulnerability. You may obtain further information by reviewing the FAQ provided by the American Bankers Association. As a reminder, it is a good practice to regularly update your passwords and run virus scans on your personal computer, tablet and/or smart phone.   Read more

CSB customers have notified the Bank that they have received automated and live telephone calls requesting debit card/account information. These calls are not being made by Community State Bank. They are a fraudulent attempt to obtain account information. CSB does not request personal information by phone, such as social security number. Customers should not provide any account or personal information over the phone. If you have responded to one of these calls, please contact CSB Customer Care immediately at 515-331-3100. Read more

Over the next few months, you will notice the image and pass phrase that you would typically see in the process of logging into your online banking account will be phased out and will no longer display on your password page. New advanced security measures will be added to protect your account, so the image and pass phrase will be no longer necessary. Effective Monday, April 21, 2014, you will be able to easily and reliably verify the site’s identity and security by looking for the green website address bar at the top of the page. The new security measure prompts web browsers to display a green address bar and our site provider’s name (Fiserv, Inc.). These new security features will seamlessly verify your computer and/or other devices that you consistently use for online banking, such as your tablet or smart phone.
