Undoubtedly, you have noticed the explosion of banking in the metro area. While competition increases, at Community State Bank, we remain focused on steady growth and taking a genuine interest in every customer and his or her needs.

In 2006, we opened two new banks in Ankeny and Waukee. Our employees helped over 3,000 new customers with mortgages, consumer/commercial loans, insurance and investments.

But, it’s truly about much more than numbers. It’s about people and community. Together, our employees rolled up their sleeves and raised nearly $58,000 for United Way - receiving United Way’s first ever "Spirit of Ankeny" award for “commitment to improving lives through contributions, service and volunteerism." That’s just who we are. At CSB, we believe in getting involved in the communities we serve. That means being genuninely interested in what is going on in the lives of our customers and meeting their needs, as a bank and as leader in the community.

We believe in “Redefining Simple.” What does that mean to our customers? It’s a promise. We make banking easier for our customers by offering extended hours from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 8 a.m. - Noon Saturday. Our phones are answered by real people, here in Iowa - no machines or phone menus. And, deposits received by 6 p.m. are credited the same day. It is all about giving our customers what they want, when they need it and how they need it.
