Job Descriptions
Loan Associate
The Loan Associate is responsible for all aspects of loan operations including, but not limited to in-house and secondary mortgage loans, vehicle, consumer goods, home equity and various other consumer loans. Responsibilities include assisting mortgage consultants and personal bankers with timely and accurate processing of loan documents to meet customer service standards. The Loan Associates duties include loan processing, servicing and closing process. Prepare documents accurately for new and renewal loan closings. Review of attorney opinions on titles. Preparation of real estate mortgage releases and release liens on vehicle titles in conjunction with the paid note audit. Insure proper recording of liens; prepare mortgage releases, in satisfaction of loans, abstracting and mortgage filing. Prepare and process escrow statements and pay items. Accurately book consumer and real estate loans. Review flood loans from commercial, mortgage, and consumer on a monthly basis.
Potential candidates must have the ability to operate a computer proficiently with knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheet programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to proofread and edit documents. Math, organizational, time management, decision-making, and problem solving skills a must for this fast paced environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other related area preferred.
Experience:Four years of mortgage experience, including extensive knowledge of FHA loan processes. A minimum of one year previous teller, cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred, or equivalent education and experience.High school diploma or equivalent required.
Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for assisting designated commercial and business banking staff with commercial relationship management. Each manager will coordinate with assigned staff to ensure all required tasks associated with a commercial and business banking relationship are accomplished in a timely, high quality, customer service fashion. This person will prepare credit analysis for designated officers and loan committee in the form of reports in compliance with bank lending policy. Request and monitor the progress of lending related report information concerning appraisals, environmental reports, evaluations and title opinions and resolve necessary issues as they arise. Schedule closings with commercial and business bankers. Maintain a strong professional demeanor, as well as, enthusiasm in representing the bank's goals and objectives. Applicant must have the ability to operate a computer and knowledge of various software applications, like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, or equivalent work experience preferred. 4+ years work experience in a commercial lending area.
